Dear Boone Callaghan,
You're BIG in every way.
Your body.
Your presence.
Your big woody .... axe.

I wanted to proclaim my love.
But my ego got in the way.
Except for that one night...
I offered my V-card to my best friend's older brother.
Talk about big mistake.
Life brings me back...
And Boone has aged like fine wine.
He's a single dad.
A total D.I.L.F.
And desperately needs a nanny.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't want him anymore.
Now I'm a live in nanny for my teenage crush.
An intense desire keeps us both up at night.
While the cold winter weather rages outside...
The Callaghan residence is burning up.

Will this Holiday season bring my teenage fantasies to life?
Or will skeletons from the past make me regret returning to the town I left years ago?

Chapter One Look Inside

“Happy birthday, beautiful!” Irene cheered, holding up her full glass of draft beer.

I giggled, a bit warm in the cheeks from my first drink, but I still clinked the edge of my glass to hers. “You don’t have to keep saying that, you know.”

“It’s not every day you get to turn twenty-one.” Irene waved down our server. “Can I please get a round of tequila shots for the table? Oh, and maybe some of those strawberry daiquiris? They look delicious!”

“Are you trying to destroy my liver?”

“You’ve only had two beers. It’s not my fault you’re such a lightweight.”

“Alright, fine. One more drink, but then I’m cutting us off.”

Irene rolled her pretty green eyes. “Stop being so responsible, would you? We’re supposed to be getting into trouble and making poor judgment calls at our age.”

I gasped dramatically. “What would Boone say if he heard you?”

Irene sniffed. “My brother needs to lighten up. I’m sorry he couldn’t make it to your birthday dinner, by the way.”

My smile faltered slightly. It wasn’t like I was expecting a massive party with all my friends and family present—and I obviously adored Irene to bits—but it would have been nice if Boone had shown up. I’d asked Irene to extend the invitation on my behalf because I’d been much too shy to ask him myself.

The truth of the matter was that I was hopelessly head-over-heels for Irene’s older brother.

I was thoroughly convinced there was something either physically or neurologically wrong with me when it came to Boone Callaghan. My heart beat three times as fast when he was close to me, and my tongue was always tied up in knots. The butterflies in my stomach when he so much as looked at me were enough to make me feel like I could actually take flight at any moment.

It was impossible to tell when my not-so-little crush on him began. When I was in the fifth grade and met him for the first time when he dropped off Irene’s lunchbox at school? When he first got his driver’s license and chaperoned Irene and me to the movies? Or that one hot summer by Sunville Lake when we went swimming together and I saw him without his shirt for the first time?

Hard to say.

“Did he say why?” I asked as casually as possible.

Irene polished off her beer and shrugged. “Said he had a date.”

I deflated. “Oh.”

“Don’t worry. I don’t think it’s going to last long.”

“Oh?”

“I don’t know. Carrie’s… weird.”

“Did he say that, or are you saying that?”

“I’m saying that, but I know my brother. She doesn’t exactly strike me as his type.”

Shifting in my seat, I leaned my elbow on the table. “What, uh… what is his type?”

“How should I know? I just know that Carrie ain’t it.”

Our server arrived with a fresh batch of drinks as well as the appetizers we ordered. As I chowed down on a mozzarella stick, I wondered about Boone. He was four years older than me, responsible and hard working. When it came to his younger brothers, he was always stern, but fair. When it came to Irene and me, he was the absolute sweetest.
